Brills is a very simple online money management application. That was a mouthful, let's try to digest it a little bit.
Basically, you tell Brills how much money you earn per month, then you give it a list of your monthly outgoings - your phone bills, car insurance payments, magazine subscriptions, all that stuff. Then, Brills will deduct all that stuff from your income and tell you how much money you have left to spend on cool stuff. That's it. It's not a complicated or powerful application, but its simplicity is where its strength lies.
To sign up, all we'll need from you is a name, email address and password. Then you tell us approximately how much money you'll earn each month, as well as your fixed outgoing costs - things like phone bills and whatnot.
While the information you give to us is stored securely in a database, only your password is encrypted. Information about your income and outgoings is stored as-is, so in the unlikely event that the database is compromised, that data will be visible.
However, we aren't storing any sensitive data like credit card numbers or addresses. We just need to let you know. If you are looking for something with high level security and a lot more features, check out Mint.
Right now, we don't send you a single email. The reason we ask for your email address is so that you can log in and just in case we want to send you any information about cool stuff coming to Brills.
If we do start sending out emails, we'll give you the chance to opt-out by signing into your account and changing your email preferences.
To add a payment, click the big blue 'Add another' button on the Dashboard.
To delete a payment, hover over it on the dashboard and you'll notice a 'Delete' label. Just click it, and it's gone. To edit an existing payment, simply hover over it's label and click the 'edit' button - it's right next to 'delete'.
That's easy too. Just click on Account at the top of the page in order to change your account information.
Of course you can! If you don't want to use Brills any more, just go to your Account and click 'Delete Account'. Confirm you want to delete your account, and it'll completely remove you from our system.
